Older The Thinker - - - Wiser The Words

Those who are awake at nights and not, asleep
Those who think about its secrets and think deep
Life can load; and load upon those heap heap
Can crash wills, and shatter hopes; so steep

No one is immune from taking the road, as such
Not a soul able to escape in the end, even a touch
You and I are in the whirlpool, no ground, and no crutch!
Have to circle round, and round, till centre clutch.

Centre of whirlpool resembles that black hole up above
Every single particle is doomed to head, and meet love
Those who are awake at nights, tend not to shove
Those who think about its secrets, neighbours to Dove!

A dedication to a great poet, amazing person and a good friend; to David.
Deeply touched by his latest poem ‘Old Age Brings Neither WisdomNor Clarity’ and subsequent correspondence; and always learned lessons from.

A Girl From The Post Office

A Girl From The Post Office

(An appreciation poem for local postal services)

Dedicated to brilliant staff at local Post Office

Came out a nice tone of voice, broad smile,
Hello sir, how can I help you today?
Smartly dressed, official, but friendly sexy face
Simply brilliant, as she strived to serve!
Made you feel, it is the service you want
In a blink of an eye, and you’re almost done!
But wait, you wouldn’t want yet to finish
No, not just yet!
As the eyes had just met,
And the hearts may have just begun, to connect.

Enough of romance, it’s the business time
I’ll be checking the post office’s working time
And I don’t know, should I be singing or mime
The girl, is not mine…
But I just like her, or is it a crime?

You’re made to feel you’re a special customer, always
The excellent service, topped with broad smile, ablaze
You’re put at ease, and very pleased, I should say,
Always …

Sending a parcel becomes a special moment, stays
And you feel….
You’re within the parcel yourself, as she weighs!
Oh, things she makes you to write and say…
Makes you to come back every day
Just to see her serving the customers,
With grace …

Enough, back to business, look at this way
Once you’re done with the parcels and weighs,
Looks you in the eyes and she says:
Is that all, or can I help you with some more?
A book of stamps or phone top up maybe?
Or some of the other services we offer, for thee!

Not today I say and thank her for that
Wish that I had many parcels, and come back!
Tempted to give her my phone to top up
Never mind the long queue, just to chat up!

I was in these lines of thoughts and then,
Came again same nice tone, sexy voice
Sir, Is that all or can I help you with some more?

And suddenly, was I awake or asleep?
Seemed that awake I was, but counting sheep!
What was I thinking? Seemed like a deep sleep!
No that I said, and I thank you so much
For the serving the customers as such!
And I enjoyed the service, very so much.

Now when I go to post and send something,
I will smile and say hello to her, and asking!
How was her day today, hard work, no dancing!

Hope she wouldn’t mind a sincere well wish
Being her customer today, is all I wish
Another wish that I have in my mind
To plan and ask her, to go for a dish!

Imagine I go and ask for her number
Pretend that I need to be served, only by her
What if I make a fool of myself!
Where shall I be going to post my parcels?
Or stay in, and wish for the passing angels!
Some fly passed, some may fall
And I hope don’t break their ankles!

In the end, all that I hope and wish for,
Is her, kindly to light up my candles… maybe more…
What a strange world!
Who knows?

And oh ...
Not to forget her colleague
Elegant and polite
Almost the same height
A wonderful delight !
They make my local post office
Brighter than bright
Whenever they're both, in sight
...
happy posting

Some Dawn..…Some Dusk.....

Some Dawn..…Some Dusk…..

(This is inspired by "No Dawn No Dusk" by: She Whispers. You read this here: http://www.creative-poems.com/poem.php?id=279665)
(A Dedication to: She Whispers)

You know they say,

“There is a light at the end of the tunnel”
Even the tunnel itself, is a dark place!

And they also say,
“Every cloud has a silver lining”

And we know, cloud prevents the Sun,
From shining

The earthly happiness, we all seek,
Some we do, and some we don’t need

We can hear a lot, from rain whispering,
We can see a world, in “tossing gloaming”
Some of happiness, some of earthly pain

Our Worlds, Our Lives, Same Difference (2)

Our Worlds, Our Lives, Same Difference (2)

(A response and an appreciation to “The Difference” by:  Angelface, Poet_By_Heart)
You can read the "The Difference" here: http://www.creative-poems.com/member.php?id=22147

In your word

You might be torn apart,

Bearing the brunt of hardship.
In my world
It only adds to my misery!
For the works of art

In your world

The search might never end

And the love is rare.
In my world
The challenge is still on

In your world

Universe is conquered

Yet, one star is missing.
In my world
I see many stars
Each twinkle, to capture my heart!

In your world

Oceans crossed, left behind

“For true love to find”,
In my world
Too cold to swim, should shatter the ice, in my mind

In your world

Friends may play hide and seek

Just to pose a challenge, and some fun!
In my world
I am blessed, you’re right
Still, like to chase the fun;

In your world

Teasing for attention, is what you are,

In my world
I go deep, explore and see
The secret of nature,
And what they truly are?

In your world

Beauty is in abundance, everywhere

Yet, only one stands out.
In my world
True beauty, is in a normal girl
A “pretty woman”, lives in despair!

In your world

Half of believing, is in hearing

That leaves the only other half to see, you see!
In my world
Seeing is believing, yet I listen
With sharp ears and focused eyes, to thee

In your world

Blandishing, not allowed

True, and only fair,
In my world
Just don’t say it,
If all you can see, is only air.

In your world

There maybe a doubt, for cause,

In my world
Each and every effect, is the cause, for a pause!

And a bit further In my world,

“I believe in true love” too,
Though, I would say is relative!
And “I haven’t found one either”,
The truer, the harder I should look!
No need to build any barriers for me, you see?
Or hide behind man-made walls,
As true love, will shatter them all
And penetrate.

Our Worlds, Our Lives, Same Difference (1)

Our Worlds, Our Lives, Same Difference (1)

In my world,
Things are trying to be simple
In your world,
Things are going reverse

In my world,
“Sky is the limit”
In your world,
Clouds show the end

In my world,
Stars can be reached
In your world,
The moon stays dark

In my world,
Oceans exist to be crossed
In your world,
A pond poses challenge

In my world,
Friendship needs trust
In your world,
Every hiccup is cause for lost

In my world
The like poles repel, giving each other space
In your world.
Opposites attract, taking each other’s place

In my world,
Eyes are to see
In your world,
They can only watch

In my world,
Ears are to listen
In your world,
They can only hear

In my world,
Words have lives, they live
In your world,
They’re only alphabets to play

In my world,
We meet for a reason
In your world,
It’s just another play

My world,
Used to be like yours once

Not any more

A Birthday Is Coming!

A  Birthday  Is  Coming

A birthday is coming on forth of December
I wouldn't forget, it was in my diary to remember
Birthday girl, birthday girl, where are you?
Don’t make me come and get you, surrender!

She is a special person, a dear friend;
She has blue eyes, and looks at deep end;
Birthday girl, birthday girl, where are you?
I have a present, and don’t know where to send!

A good friend, is a good friend, as always;
Friendly love is precious, in many ways;
Birthday girl, birthday girl, where are you?
Wish you the very best, happy birthday, in coming days…

A 1-liner of mine written about a year ago:
“I waited all my life to catch her; and she never fell”!
I’ll wait to catch the falling angel, however, I truly wish she never falls, and remains a ‘flying angel’, always.
A Very Happy Birthday Shirls,
A friend, or maybe a big brother,

Gary Speed

Gary  Speed

Gary died at the age of forty two, still young
What would’ve been the cause, all stunned!
The news spread at the light’s speed
The world of football, lost its great Speed

Gary only talked to BBC, yesterday
Of his hopes and wishes, and his way
He didn’t say, what to expect today!
We’re all in shock, never thought this way!

There's only one Gary, Welsh sang today.
