A Girl From The Post Office

A Girl From The Post Office

(An appreciation poem for local postal services)

Dedicated to brilliant staff at local Post Office

Came out a nice tone of voice, broad smile,
Hello sir, how can I help you today?
Smartly dressed, official, but friendly sexy face
Simply brilliant, as she strived to serve!
Made you feel, it is the service you want
In a blink of an eye, and you’re almost done!
But wait, you wouldn’t want yet to finish
No, not just yet!
As the eyes had just met,
And the hearts may have just begun, to connect.

Enough of romance, it’s the business time
I’ll be checking the post office’s working time
And I don’t know, should I be singing or mime
The girl, is not mine…
But I just like her, or is it a crime?

You’re made to feel you’re a special customer, always
The excellent service, topped with broad smile, ablaze
You’re put at ease, and very pleased, I should say,
Always …

Sending a parcel becomes a special moment, stays
And you feel….
You’re within the parcel yourself, as she weighs!
Oh, things she makes you to write and say…
Makes you to come back every day
Just to see her serving the customers,
With grace …

Enough, back to business, look at this way
Once you’re done with the parcels and weighs,
Looks you in the eyes and she says:
Is that all, or can I help you with some more?
A book of stamps or phone top up maybe?
Or some of the other services we offer, for thee!

Not today I say and thank her for that
Wish that I had many parcels, and come back!
Tempted to give her my phone to top up
Never mind the long queue, just to chat up!

I was in these lines of thoughts and then,
Came again same nice tone, sexy voice
Sir, Is that all or can I help you with some more?

And suddenly, was I awake or asleep?
Seemed that awake I was, but counting sheep!
What was I thinking? Seemed like a deep sleep!
No that I said, and I thank you so much
For the serving the customers as such!
And I enjoyed the service, very so much.

Now when I go to post and send something,
I will smile and say hello to her, and asking!
How was her day today, hard work, no dancing!

Hope she wouldn’t mind a sincere well wish
Being her customer today, is all I wish
Another wish that I have in my mind
To plan and ask her, to go for a dish!

Imagine I go and ask for her number
Pretend that I need to be served, only by her
What if I make a fool of myself!
Where shall I be going to post my parcels?
Or stay in, and wish for the passing angels!
Some fly passed, some may fall
And I hope don’t break their ankles!

In the end, all that I hope and wish for,
Is her, kindly to light up my candles… maybe more…
What a strange world!
Who knows?

And oh ...
Not to forget her colleague
Elegant and polite
Almost the same height
A wonderful delight !
They make my local post office
Brighter than bright
Whenever they're both, in sight
...
happy posting

Some Dawn..…Some Dusk.....

Some Dawn..…Some Dusk…..

(This is inspired by "No Dawn No Dusk" by: She Whispers. You read this here: http://www.creative-poems.com/poem.php?id=279665)
(A Dedication to: She Whispers)

You know they say,

“There is a light at the end of the tunnel”
Even the tunnel itself, is a dark place!

And they also say,
“Every cloud has a silver lining”

And we know, cloud prevents the Sun,
From shining

The earthly happiness, we all seek,
Some we do, and some we don’t need

We can hear a lot, from rain whispering,
We can see a world, in “tossing gloaming”
Some of happiness, some of earthly pain
